We build calculators that explain themselves
FinDock is a single, calm workspace for the numbers behind everyday decisions, money, business, health, school, dates, and measurements. It exists because most online calculators hand you an answer and stop there, leaving you to wonder which formula ran and whether you can trust it.
Why FinDock exists
A lonely number is easy to produce and hard to trust. Type figures into most calculators and you get a result with no working, no formula, no breakdown, no note about what it assumed. For anything that matters, that's not enough. You end up re-doing the math by hand just to be sure.
We started FinDock to fix that. The goal was never to have the most calculators; it was to make each one clear, to show the equation, plug in your values in the open, and flag the assumptions, so you can act on a result with confidence instead of taking it on faith.
What we believe
Explanation over answers
Every result comes with its formula, the values behind it, and the assumptions it depends on. A number you can't check isn't much use.
Private by design
Calculations run in your browser. Loan amounts, salaries, weights, none of it is uploaded, because none of it needs to be.
Documented formulas
We use standard, published formulas and show them openly, so you can verify a result rather than trust it blindly.
No dark patterns
No account walls, no fake urgency, no ads reading your inputs, no results hidden behind a signup. The tools just work.
What makes it different
FinDock is a coherent workspace, not a directory of disconnected widgets. The same clear layout, number formatting, and privacy guarantees apply whether you're working out a mortgage, a GPA, or a unit conversion. Learn one tool and you know how they all behave.
It's also honest about what it is. Rates are entered by you, not pulled from a live feed we can't verify. Results that are estimates say so. And nothing you enter leaves your device, a promise we can keep precisely because the whole thing runs in your browser.
Who it's for
Individuals
Planning a loan, checking a discount, converting units, or counting down to a date.
Students
Working out grades, GPAs, and the exam scores needed to hit a target.
Freelancers
Pricing time, checking margins, and setting a rate that actually covers the work.
Small businesses
Margins, markup, break-even, and the everyday math behind pricing decisions.
How we handle privacy and formulas
Calculations happen in your browser using JavaScript. There's no server working out your numbers, no database recording them, and no account tying them to you. Optional saved calculations live in your browser alone and can be cleared at any time. Our Privacy Policy spells this out.
On the formula side, every calculator is built on a documented, standard method, and we show the equation so you can check it. Where a result is an estimate, anything involving future rates or standard health formulas, we say so plainly. FinDock is a calculation tool, not financial, legal, tax, or medical advice; for decisions that carry real weight, verify important figures with a qualified professional.
