Our approach
We use the minimum needed to make the tools pleasant to use, and nothing designed to follow you around the web. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking on FinDock.
What FinDock actually stores
The storage we use falls into two harmless categories:
- Preferences: your theme, decimal precision, currency symbol, and favorite calculators, kept in local storage so the site remembers how you like it.
- Saved calculations: only if you choose to save one, stored in your browser's IndexedDB so you can come back to it.
What we don't use
FinDock does not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Cross-site or third-party tracking cookies.
- Analytics cookies that read the contents of your calculations.
Third-party requests
Assets such as web fonts may be loaded from a content delivery network. Those providers can set their own cookies or see standard request information as part of delivering files. We keep such third-party requests minimal and don't embed ad or social-tracking scripts.
Managing and clearing storage
You're in control. You can clear FinDock's saved data and preferences from within the app, and you can clear or block cookies and site data through your browser settings at any time. Clearing storage simply resets your preferences and removes any saved calculations, the calculators themselves keep working.
Changes to this policy
If our use of storage changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
